Multitalented artist, working in etching, drawing, painting
Starting of in Birmingham, England Chris studied at Bourneville College for his Foundation
and was taught to etch by Ted Allen. Taking these skills he went on to complete a BA(hons)
in Fine Art at Canterbury Art College in 1982. After leaving Canterbury, Chris went
on to accidentally start WAZHEAD and created a range of novelty hats. These were worn
by numerous public figures including Bernard Levin, Vivienne Westwood, Elton John and Steve Wright amongst others.
Whilst making these hats in Whitstable in 1985 Chris met Kev Hopper on holiday
and after moving to London they began the band Stump with two fellas from Cork to complete the setup.Having enjoyed success with his band Stump he continued with art in 1992 and completedan MA with distinction in Printmaking at Camberwell Art College in 1994 and has been producing artwork ever since, amassing a large body of work along the way.
